Perisher snow depth 2008 review

The peak depth for 2008 was 174.2 cm for the week of Friday, 15th August 2008. This was slightly higher than the peak depth for 2007 of 164.4 cm for the week of Friday, 10th August 2007.

As you can see from the chart below, the 2008 snow fell late and melted quickly:

Of course, it was far-and-away better than 2006:

The ground cover in mid August was quite good everywhere due to a combination of heavy falls in late July and early August and generally cool conditions favorable for snow-making. Cover for the shoulder parts of the season was poor.
